Snow fun

We went up to Lake Arrowhead to spend some time with parents, and also to have fun with snow.
It was a lot of snow when we drove up to the mountain, and we had a couple of dangerous moment, but we got there safely. Brian and I talked we were so lucky, and our prayer was listened.
Campbell and Imogen had a great time with grandparents, and Campbell got some fun time with snow for the first time.

Happy new year cake

My friend Myungwon visited our place, and she brought us cake. It had the words, Happy New Year Fenn Family! It was sweet gift. Thanks Myungwon.

Christmas

Fenn family got all together for the Christmas Day. Great breakfast and lunch. Little Christmas message from mom and dad. And lots lots of presents!
What a wonderful day!
And the fun part was our car battery died so we had to charge it in the dark and cold night. Even it will be a fun memory. Haha.
Thank you mom and dad for the great day!

Christmas Eve

We had family dinner out and Christmas lighting tour to celebrate Christmas Eve.
And of course, ready for the big Christmas Day!

San Juan Capistrano Mission

Brian's parents stayed at our place after the parade for the guys' football game trip to San Diego.
Mom, Campbell, Imogen and I went to San Juan Capistrano Mission during the day. It was beautiful place, but Campbell wanted to be too independent, so we had to leave soon. Campbell liked the fish in the pond a lot though.
Thank you so much for being such a great grandma for Campbell's hard day.

Newport beach Christmas lighting boats parade

We went to Newport beach for the Christmas lighting boats parade and dinner with family. A lot of boats were out with beautiful lights. After the parade, we went to Rubby's for dinner.

First solid food for Imogen

Imogen is 5 months old now. We gave her rice cereal first time. She was so cute on high chair, and she tried to hold her spoon whole time.
she was pretty good on swallowing, and it seemed she liked it. :)

Welcome home Auntie Amanda!

Amanda moved to CA, and Brian and Campbell went to Corona to see her last night. We love to have her in CA, and also since it was moving after she finished her school, it was more exciting. We're so proud of you, Amanda. Welcome to CA!

Bilingual

Since I'm Korean, I'd love Campbell and Imogen can speak Korean as well as English. The other day, I read an article about teaching a baby two languages, and after reading that article, I realized how much it can be challenging for them.

First, Korean is totally totally different language with English. Even words' order is different as well as words vocabulary ('I like you' should be 'I you like).
Second, Campbell should memorize two words for every single thing. (Two times more vocabulary than one language speaking baby, and also English and Korean don't have any similar words at all)
Third, she has less chance to listen each language compared to other babies. If parents speak different languages, their baby might have a chance to listen same sentence a half times than another baby with same language speaking parents.

The article made me realize Campbell is doing so well with learning two languages, and it's amazing to see she can understand and speak both languages equally!
I know it'll be challenging more and more in the future, but I'll keep trying it. So fun!

Are you my mother?

I saw Campbell was reading (pretending to read) a book, 'Are you my mother?', and I tried to listen what she was saying.

Campbell was pointing each animal in the book, and she was saying "Are you SURE my mother?"
She added one word, and made it totally different story. :)

I love this funny kid.

Bob the builder

We went to Discovery Science Center again. (this time without Brian)
There were not many people around at the museum, and Campbell had a great time at the Bob the builder exhibit. She spent around a half hour at the water pump exhibit.
Imogen got scared a little bit first time, but she was really good whole time. Thanks Imogen. ;)

Daddy and daughter at Disneyland

Brian is pretty busy with his work, but he's always willing to take out Campbell whenever he has a chance. Yes, he is a really good dad (and husband).

Today, Brian took Campbell to Disneyland, and Imogen and I had a special mommy and daughter time at home.

Blessing for Imogen

Last Sunday, Imogen got blessing at church. We were so grateful that she had a chance to get the blessing, and the blessing was really special moment.
The pics are from home before blessing. Her grandma bought her dress from Utah, and she was beautiful on it.
I'll post more pics later again.

Letter to Santa

Christmas party

One of our ward people does day care at her house. The children had a Christmas party, and we were invited.
It was a cute little party, but Campbell was not interested at all. :(

Funny girl

1. She likes displaying her toys in some ways. For example, big to small (this time, the last toy was elephant Lego piece. Haha)
2. So happy with my glasses
3. I was doing make up, and Campbell wanted to try on Imogen's face. So I asked her to bring her one of her dolls. And Campbell decided to make dinosaur pretty. After finishing make up, Campbell said "So~ beautiful!"
